Atlas' Burden

A personal favorite of mine. A combination of pencil work on Atlas himself and everything else being pastel.

Eye Can See

For this piece, I had to create an image onto a grid line, the blackened blocks were just extra. The blocks holding the eye was done in acrylic paints, and the background was hasty colored pencil work.

No name

Despite how much I love this piece, I couldn't come up with anything to call it without being corny or ripping off somebody else. But either way I truly enjoyed making this one, which is done entirely in oil paints.

Hand Study

This was my very first major project, and was done only in pencil. Even if it was of my firsts, it still remains a favorite just because of the sheer amount of detail that was created from an eraser and a little smearing with my finger.

Storm Cloud

Another pastel work. This one could have been a little better in it's finished state, but I rushed through it when I got to the man himself.

Warped Self Study

This one was a little complex. First I needed to draw a picture of myself and set it on a grid line. Next, I was to alter the grid line by making its dimensions unequal, then apply my original picture back onto the new grid (and abiding by the altered dimensions). After that, using acrylic paints, I painted myself with opposite colors throughout the whole picture. I think it turned out ok, but it wasn't fun or easy toying around with the grids, though.
